We are very pleased to partner with Manny Cantor Center in establishing The Materials Center and make it available to the public as a community resource and destination for creative re-purposing. Manny Cantor Center is the flagship community center of Educational Alliance, offering award-winning programs, critical services, and exciting events for toddlers, teens, young adults, and older adults of all backgrounds. They work for and with their vibrant neighborhood to create experiences that make a difference in our community. Teaching Beyond the Square is grateful to be a part of such a diverse and dynamic community!

Teaching Beyond the Square is one of many donateNYC partner organizations in New York City that work to divert waste from landfills, by recycling, re-purposing, re-using or re-distributing items that New Yorkers no longer want. More than 40 non-profit organizations are dedicated to helping New York City reach its zero-waste to landfills goal by 2030. Visit the donateNYC website for more information about flea markets, partner organizations, donating goods, and events around the city.
